Avanish (Av) Bhavsar is Global Head of Fixed Income & Cross Asset Distribution for Citadel Securities, responsible for client engagement across the firm’s institutional franchise.

Before joining Citadel Securities, Av spent over twenty-five years at Goldman Sachs where he was most recently a partner, Co-Head of Americas FICC Distribution. During that time, Av served on several key divisional and firmwide committees including the Partnership, Business Standards, Operating and Technology committees, and also founded Goldman Sachs’ cross asset sales desk. Prior to his time at Goldman Sachs, Av was a business analyst at McKinsey & Company.

Av received a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Economics, magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College, where he is a former Board Member of the Dickey Center, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
