Josh Woods is Chief Technology Officer of Citadel Securities. He leads the technology teams that design and build the cutting-edge systems that power trading globally and keep the firm at the forefront of finance and technology.

Josh’s 15+ years of experience includes start-ups as well as large consumer and enterprise technology companies. At IBM, he created IBM Connections Files, which was one of the first entrants into the enterprise social software market, and filed numerous patents in the areas of programming languages and modern internet architectures. Subsequently, he led product and engineering at a SaaS start-up, ultimately landing the team at Salesforce. Prior to joining Citadel Securities, Josh was an engineering leader at Oracle, responsible for engineering infrastructure and cloud-related initiatives.

Josh received a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, where he was an ACM ICPC World Finalist.
