Civic Leadership / Colleagues Volunteer to Support Future AI Technologists from Under-Resourced BackgroundsColleagues Volunteer to Support Future AI Technologists from Under-Resourced Backgrounds
Last week, Citadel and Citadel Securities hosted a cohort of future technologists from Break Through Tech, a program incubated by Cornell University that aims to increase the number of students from under-resourced backgrounds pursuing careers in technology, computing and AI.
Throughout the day at our 425 Park Avenue office in New York, team members volunteered their time and expertise to support the students’ professional development and introduce the group of undergraduates to career paths in finance and fintech.
Highlights included:
- Citadel and Citadel Securities team members provided insights and advice about how to start out and succeed in the industry during an Early Careers panel.
- Head of Learning and Development Katherine Goulding facilitated a workshop to help students develop their personal brand.
- Citadel and Citadel Securities team members also volunteered 1-on-1 with students to strengthen their resumes.
